Introduction
PanjabiBook brings people together to share stories, celebrate culture and build community. These standards explain what is and is not allowed across our profiles, posts, comments, groups, community pages, stories, reels, messages, calls and live features where available. They apply to everyone and to all content, including AI-generated or edited material. They supplement our Terms of Service. PanjabiBook is independent of Meta; these are our community rules.
1. Voice, authenticity, safety, privacy and dignity
We welcome different opinions, languages, faiths and backgrounds. You may discuss difficult subjects, criticize ideas and institutions, and share personal experiences respectfully. Disagreement alone is not a violation. Be honest about who you represent, protect other people’s privacy and treat everyone with dignity. Expression must not become threats, exploitation or targeted abuse.
2. Violence, crime and dangerous organizations
Do not threaten violence, encourage attacks, arrange criminal harm, publish instructions intended to enable serious harm, or recruit or raise funds for violent extremist or criminal organizations. Do not celebrate an attack in a way that encourages further violence. News reporting, historical discussion and clear condemnation may be allowed when they do not promote harm or expose victims to further danger.
3. Hate, bullying and harassment
Do not attack or dehumanize people because of characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity. Threats, slurs used to target people, sexual harassment, coordinated humiliation, stalking and repeated unwanted contact are prohibited. Criticism of an idea or public decision is different from abuse of a person. Do not encourage others to swarm or intimidate someone.
4. Child safety and protection of minors
Any sexual exploitation, grooming, sexualization or sexual imagery of minors is prohibited, including AI-generated material. Do not seek sexual contact with a minor, request intimate images, or facilitate abuse. Do not repost abusive material even to condemn it; report its location instead. Avoid exposing children’s home addresses, school schedules or other sensitive details. Accounts must meet the minimum-age rules in our Terms.
5. Sexual exploitation and explicit content
Non-consensual intimate images, sexual blackmail, threats to expose intimate material, hidden-camera sexual content and fabricated sexual images of a real person without consent are prohibited. Do not post pornography, explicit sexual acts, sexual solicitation or sexual content intended to harass. Respectful, non-graphic discussion of health, education, breastfeeding or recovery from abuse may be allowed. Do not use the platform to pressure anyone into sexual activity.
6. Human exploitation and restricted trade
Human trafficking, forced labor, exploitation and the sale of people are prohibited. Do not buy, sell or arrange illegal drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit products, weapons, ammunition or other unlawful goods and services through PanjabiBook. Do not promote unlawful gambling, fraudulent investment schemes or fake fundraising. Lawful businesses must describe offers honestly and disclose paid partnerships or commercial interests.
7. Self-harm, suicide and eating disorders
Supportive conversations, recovery stories and requests for help are welcome. Do not encourage, glorify, challenge others to attempt, or give instructions for suicide, self-injury or dangerous eating-disorder behavior. Do not mock someone seeking help. Content that creates an immediate risk may be removed. PanjabiBook is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
8. Privacy and personal information
Do not publish someone’s private address, identification documents, passwords, payment details, medical records or other sensitive information without a lawful basis and necessary permission. Do not threaten to reveal private information or encourage people to contact or confront someone at home. Obtain consent where required before recording or sharing a call, message or image. Respect requests to remove personal material and use our reporting process when there is a dispute.
9. Violent and graphic material
Do not share graphic injury, death, torture or animal cruelty to shock, celebrate suffering or threaten others. Educational, documentary or public-interest discussion should use non-graphic descriptions and protect victims’ dignity. Context does not automatically excuse harmful material. We may remove content when its risk outweighs its informational value; do not assume age gates or warning screens are available.
10. Authentic accounts, scams and spam
Do not impersonate people, businesses or PanjabiBook staff, steal accounts, evade restrictions or use coordinated fake accounts to manipulate discussion or engagement. Clearly identify parody or fan pages so they do not deceive. Do not send repetitive unwanted promotions, fake prizes, phishing links or requests for passwords and verification codes. A support payment never purchases ownership, guaranteed reach or immunity from these rules.
11. Cybersecurity and platform integrity
Do not distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, collect credentials, interfere with service availability or bypass security controls. Automated scraping and mass posting require permission unless applicable law expressly permits them. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through support without accessing other people’s data, exploiting the issue or publishing sensitive technical details.
12. Misinformation and AI-generated content
Do not deliberately spread deceptive claims that create a serious risk of harm, defraud people or interfere with civic participation, such as false voting instructions. Opinion, satire and good-faith discussion are allowed when presented honestly. Clearly disclose realistic AI-generated or altered media when viewers could mistake it for a real person, recording or event. AI content follows the same safety, privacy and intellectual-property rules as other content. Verify important health and safety claims before sharing.
13. Copyright, music and branding
Share only material you own, have permission to use or may lawfully use under an applicable exception. Giving credit alone does not grant permission. These rules apply to music in videos and live broadcasts, photographs, logos and AI outputs that copy protected material. Do not falsely imply endorsement by PanjabiBook or another organization. Report infringement with the content link and an explanation of your rights through support.
14. Reports, user requests and deceased members
Use the report option in a post’s menu where available, or contact support with a link and a brief explanation. Do not attach illegal imagery, passwords or unnecessary private records. Report urgent safety concerns promptly; for immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For a deceased member’s account, an authorized representative may contact support for review; we may request appropriate verification. We do not promise a memorialization feature or disclose private messages simply because someone claims to be a relative.
15. Enforcement, context and appeals
We consider the content, context, severity, credible risk and repeated behavior. Actions may include removing content, limiting features, suspending an account or ending access. Serious violations may lead to immediate action without a warning. We may restrict locally unlawful content where required. Newsworthiness, education or satire can inform a decision but do not provide an automatic exception. We cannot promise that every report will be reviewed immediately or that all harmful content will be detected. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain restrictions. To appeal, contact support with the decision or content reference and why you believe it was mistaken. Do not retaliate against reporters or submit knowingly false reports.
16. Updates and contact
We may update these standards as the community and services develop, with notice of material changes where appropriate. The effective date identifies this version. English and Punjabi versions are provided for accessibility; tell us if you notice a difference in meaning.
