Overview
PanjabiBook is a community platform for connecting people, sharing Punjabi culture and stories, and communicating with others. These Terms govern your use of panjabibook.com and the features offered through it. “PanjabiBook,” “we” and “us” refer to the operator of this website under the PanjabiBook name. PanjabiBook is independent of Meta, Facebook and YouTube. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
1. Our services
Available features may include profiles, posts, photos, videos, stories, reels, groups, community pages, messages, calls, live-video links and AI assistance. Availability can depend on your device, connection, account and third-party services. We may improve, change or discontinue features, with notice when reasonably practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, audience reach, income or the continued availability of any particular feature.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under the age of legal adulthood, a parent or guardian must permit your use where required by law. Provide accurate account information, do not impersonate others, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity you authorize on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not evade an account restriction or use the service where prohibited by law.
3. Respect our community
Do not post or facilitate threats, harassment, hate directed at protected characteristics, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, scams, fraud, unlawful goods, or encouragement of violence or self-harm. Do not share another person’s private information without a lawful basis or necessary permission. Respect different beliefs and opinions. You must have the rights needed to share music, images, videos and other material. Do not publish deceptive impersonations or misleading manipulated media intended to cause harm.
4. Protect the platform
Do not send spam, upload malware, steal credentials, access accounts or data without permission, disrupt the service, or bypass security or usage restrictions. Automated scraping, bulk collection and automated posting require our prior written permission unless applicable law expressly permits the activity. Do not sell data obtained through unauthorized collection or misuse reporting and appeal tools.
5. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, format, display, distribute and translate that content only as needed to operate and improve the service, consistent with your audience settings. We may allow service providers to perform those tasks for us. This permission does not transfer ownership or grant a blanket right to sell your content. Public posts may be viewed, copied or shared by other people. Obtain permission from people whose rights are affected before uploading their content or recording them.
6. Deletion and privacy
Use available account controls or contact support to request deletion of your content or account. The content license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for copies legitimately retained for security, legal obligations or resolving disputes, and copies independently shared by other users. Backups may take additional time to clear; we do not promise a fixed deletion period here. Information necessary for payments or legal obligations may need to be retained. These Terms are not a privacy notice or consent to every form of data processing. Contact us for questions about data use or to exercise privacy rights.
7. Reports, moderation and appeals
Report a post through its menu where available, or contact support with the relevant link and a clear explanation. We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, legal requirements or credible security risks. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the action and allow you to request a review through support. Urgent safety or legal circumstances may require action without advance notice. Do not send illegal images as attachments; identify the location instead. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
8. Support payments and paid features
Ordinary community access is currently free. Support PanjabiBook payments are voluntary, one-time contributions in the currency shown at checkout. Supporting us is not required to participate. Contributions help with hosting, maintenance and development; they do not buy shares, ownership, investment returns or guaranteed services. We do not represent support payments as tax-deductible charitable donations. Review the amount and payment details before paying, and use only a payment method you are authorized to use. For an accidental, duplicate or unauthorized payment, contact support promptly with the transaction reference, never full card details. Refund requests are reviewed subject to applicable law and any clearly disclosed payment-specific terms; mandatory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected. Any future paid feature or recurring payment must disclose its price and conditions before you choose it.
9. AI, live video and external services
AI responses and translations can be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify important information and do not rely on AI for professional medical, legal or financial advice, or emergencies. Do not enter passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information into AI chats. External video, payment and other services may have their own terms and privacy practices. Their availability and decisions are outside our control. Never broadcast copyrighted material without permission or record another person without any consent required by law.
10. Intellectual property and complaints
PanjabiBook branding and original platform materials belong to their respective rights holders. Do not use them in a way that falsely implies endorsement. Applicable open-source licenses and statutory exceptions remain in effect. To report infringement, send support your contact details, identification of the protected work, the specific content URL and the basis for your claim. We may request further information and act on valid notices under applicable law. Repeat infringement may lead to account termination.
11. Service limitations and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of error-free, secure or continuous operation. Users are responsible for their own content and dealings; displaying a post or business page does not mean we endorse it. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for fraud or other conduct for which exclusion is prohibited.
12. Changes, disputes and general terms
We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before they took effect. If you disagree, stop using the service and request account deletion. Contact support first if you wish to resolve a concern informally; this does not restrict your right to seek a legal remedy. Applicable law determines governing law and competent courts, including mandatory protections where you live. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. Provisions about accrued payment obligations, retained content, liability and disputes survive termination where relevant.
